Take Two: The Noordhoek Superbowl 21 km – 25 July 2026

There is probably only one trail race we will re-run again, and again. Without overtly referring to that special coastline we have both been privileged to traverse in both directions, other trail races we usually only race once. And although we may traverse the trail race routes in another form as a family or have hiked them previously, trail racing brings new faces of these routes to the fore and the experiences of the trail are always different.

For Joseph, The Noordhoek Superbowl 21 kilometre 2026 is a re-run of the same two years earlier as the weather hid the views then. Take two. For Lisa it was simply a case of racing this fun and technical race together with Joseph. Take two.
Lifting one’s sandal shod feet over the path, passing nutrition between each other, and marvelling at the views on what seemed like a perfect trail running winter’s day, together, took ‘take two’ to a deeper and more meaningful level.
